VUL Pickup
League sponsored pickup runs at various times and dates throughout the year at no cost to members. The level of play ranges from beginner to elite, depending on who shows up on a given day. Pickup is free flowing, most players end up playing on both teams, and no one keeps score.
To register: You must become a member if you're not already, and complete the Consent form before playing any game. On the first page of the consent process, select any current league as the event.
To bring: cleats, water, plus a light and dark shirt.
Field notes: Turf fields are "field turf" (not astroturf), so cleats or running shoes are fine. Play will go ahead on turf even in the rain, but will be cancelled if there's snow or ice on the ground.
