Winter Junior Turf League 2012
The VUL is pleased to present a NEWish winter league for high school aged players!
5-on-5 format
Games are played 5 on 5 (with 3/2 gender split) on smaller fields: 25m wide and 75m long (15m endzones). Players sub 'on the fly' from a designated spot on the sideline. See the rules page for full details.
Game Times and Fields
All games will be played on Sunday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm for 10 weeks at the Point Grey turf field. Cleats or runners can be used on this field, but we recommend cleats.
Registration
All players must be in attendance at a high school this winter (grades 8 to 12).
Registration will be done on an Individual and Pair basis, and the VUL will form teams of players. If we end up with lots of teams, they will likely stay together through the season. If we have enough players for a few teams, they may be mixed or changed during the season to keep things interesting.
When you register, you will have 3 options:
• Individual: $20
• Pair: male & female or two females - $30 - a discount to encourage girls to play - find a friend!
• One+One: two males - $40
To register:
1. All players must submit a Junior Waiver & Consent form to the VUL office before the league begins. If you register in person, you can drop off the form at that time. If you register online, the form can be scanned & emailed to the League Coordinator, or faxed to 604-909-1812.
2. If you have a credit card, you can register online once registration opens. If you do not have a credit card, you can register in person with cash or cheque. Complete the Registration Form, and drop it off at one of the times below. If you're registering with a friend, both of you must complete a form, but one person can drop off both forms and payment. Don't forget your Waiver & Consent form.
In-person registration times:
• 6:00-7:00pm Sunday January 8 at Point Grey field
• 6:00-7:00pm Sunday January 15 at Point Grey field
