Winter Hat League 2010
Format
You sign up as an individual or with a friend, and the VUL forms teams (drawing names from a 'hat').
Winter Hat is a great option for:
• weekend play on full-sized grass fields (as compared to weeknights on synthetic turf)
• new players looking to try Ultimate
• anyone looking to meet new people, especially those looking for players or teams for summer league
• those who like value: for $20 or less, you get 10 weeks of Ultimate - that's only $1 per game!
Game Times and Fields
Games are played on Sunday mornings and afternoons. When you register, you will indicate your preferred timeslot. Your team will play in the same timeslot all season, usually 2 games each week.
New for 2010: The morning timeslot is geared towards more competitive play, and the afternoon towards more recreational play. Anyone can register for either timeslot, but you should expect a different level of play.
• AM timeslot - Competitive: 10:00am - 1:00pm
• PM timeslot - Recreational: 1:00pm - 4:00pm
All games will be played at Oak Meadows, Winona, Columbia and Tisdall fields. See the fields page for maps.
Registration
Read the registration guidelines for Hat leagues closely, and then pick one of these options.
Your Options:
• Individual: yourself - $20
• Pair: male & female, or 2 females - $35
• One + One: two males - $40
• Pair + One: at least one female - $55
If you meet the age restrictions, agree to follow league regulations, and have gathered the required information, you can register online once registration opens.
If you do not have a credit card, you can register in person with cash or cheque. Complete the Registration Form and drop it off at one of the times below. If you're registering with friends, everyone must complete a form, but one person can drop off the forms and payment for others. Players under 19 must also bring a signed parental consent form, as outlined on the registration guidelines page.

• 7:00-8:00pm Sunday Jan 10: Esquires Coffee shop at Oak & 16th
• 7:00-8:00pm Thurs Jan 14: Esquires Coffee shop at Oak & 16th
