Summer League - Playoffs
Playoffs for 8-team divisions run for 3 weeks. Playoffs for 10-team divisions start one week later, and run for 2 weeks (this is so all teams in 10-team divisions can play each other in the final trimester).
For specific dates, see the Summer League page.
Rule Adjustments
8-team divisions
• Playoffs are 3 weeks of single-header games starting at 6:30pm.
• All games are to 17 points, with a 5-minute half-time when the first team reaches 9.
• Softcap starts at 8:30pm, hardcap at 8:45pm. It will get dark by then in the final week.
10-team divisions
• Playoffs are 2 weeks of games starting at various times - check your schedule carefully.
• Games at 6:00 and 7:30 follow normal rules (13 points, no halftime, softcap after 80 minutes, etc).
• Games at 6:30 follow single-header rules (17 points with halftime at 9, softcap at 8:30, hardcap at 8:45).
There are no 'mirrored-halves' in the 17-point games, as they essentially negate the effect of the pre-game flip (and thus reduce the value of the Carbon Flip). So win the flip to get a slight advantage.
As usual, captains can adjust any rule if both agree to the change.
Schedules
Once scores for the final trimester have been reported, seedings will be finalized and game schedules will be posted. So report your scores for July in a timely manner!
During playoffs, your next game won't appear on the schedule until the score for your last game is confirmed. So enter AND confirm your scores quickly after each playoff game.
