To all Super Clinic Participants: I just wanted to send an info pack to ya'll in preparation for tomorrow. Please be ready at Noon. It promises to be a beautiful day for playing in the park. On this note be ready for a hot one and you may want to bring water, sunscreen, a hat, etc. Hydration is always a factor in sport. All the mentors will be wearing red so I'd avoid red unless you want to be asked "When playing horizontal O,with a straight up force, wind in the face.....?". Bring a white and a dark (not grey) for situational play. If you can bring a disc (with your name and e or #), it may be helpful. We will be sending you through stations including 1) Spirit, rules and safety 2) Throwing and catching 3) Cutting and marking 4) Offense 5) Defense etc. If any of this sounds confusing it shouldn't be by 4pm. A point on mindset. Whether you are just starting out or have played for a while, having an open, nonjudgmental outlook seems to be most conducive to learning. Instead of, with a bad throw, thinking "@#$%", try "That was interesting. How can I do that better?" Above all I would ask that the forefront concern, tomorrow and in the future, be the safety and respect of others and yourself. You can always get the disc back. Potential friends, not so much. Awareness is key. There may be a demo game after the clinic and I invite all to watch and join in after a few points. Keep an eye out for the amount of space that's created through structure and clearing, and then those spaces being used for progress. After the clinic I would LOVE to get feedback as to what was and wasn't working. Please feel free to send me any input. Hoping you enjoy tomorrow, Cheers, Spud
