Summer Champions Tournament - Aug 20
Our summer tourney has moved from UBC to Winona, with games only on Saturday. For those who want to stop by to watch, you can view the game schedule.
Fall League - Aug 5
Registration is now open for Fall League! Returning teams can claim their spot until August 17, after which new teams can register as well. See the Fall League info page for full details!
Summer Party! - Aug 5
Saturday August 21st at The Cellar & Doolin's downtown! Join us for good food, drink, music, dancing and prizes. Chat with friends over a pint at Doolin's Irish pub upstairs, or shake your booty in The Cellar club downstairs. Free entrance to both venues for VUL members if you arrive by 10pm, and VIP line access up to 11pm. For the prize draws, you get one ballot for every player on your summer team that attends. The grand prize is Free Team Fees for Summer 2011!
Annual General Meeting - Aug 5
Our AGM will be held in November again this year. Four positions on the Board will be up for election. The Board is responsible for decisions that have immediate and long-term impacts on the league and Ultimate in Vancouver. To learn more about being a Director, read the Board FAQ or contact one of the current directors.
Spirit Awards - Aug 5
Nominations are now open for the VUL's Male and Female Spirit awards. Each year we recognize two players who best exemplify Spirit of the Game in their conduct on and off the field. Do you know someone who deserves recognition? That exemplifies Spirit in all they do? Then nominate them!
Email the Board with your nomination, including a few reasons why your candidate is qualified. The winners will be announced at our annual Awards Banquet in October.
Great Canadian Ultimate Game - Aug 5
On July 17, ultimate players from across Canada participated in a 24-hr nation-wide game in support of two charities: Right to Play and Boys & Girls Clubs. Nation-wide the event raised more than $8,000! A big thank you to all players who participated. The VULS looks forward to playing our part again next year.

Spirit Winners for May - July 8
The VUL places great emphasis on Spirit of the Game. When teams play with spirit, it helps ensure everyone has as much fun as possible every night. A culture of spirit also allows the VUL to run 800 games every month without a single official. We'd like to thank all captains and players for promoting and playing with spirit.
The following teams received the highest spirit rating for their night of play in May. Each winner will receive a pony keg from R&B Brewing!
