2009 VULS Annual General Meeting - updated Oct 29
This year's AGM will be held Wed Nov 4 at Heritage Hall, 3102 Main Street in Vancouver.
Registration
Registration will occur from 6:30pm - 7:15pm. You cannot vote without registering, and no registration can take place after the meeting has been called to order. Meeting starts at 7:15pm and runs for approximately 2 hours, followed by a wrap-up social.
The AGM is open to all members of the Society, comprised of anyone who has properly registered (and consented) to play in the Winter, Summer, and Fall (weekend or turf) leagues of the VULS in 2009. Those who cannot attend may vote by proxy: complete the 2009 proxy form and give it to a registered member to vote on your behalf. There is a limit of one proxy per member present at the meeting.

There are three Board positions up for election. Current directors are listed here. The incoming Board will be responsible for decisions that can have immediate and long-term impacts on the league and Ultimate in Vancouver. We encourage all members to attend the AGM to vote.

Summer Spirit Winners - Sept 18
The VUL places great emphasis on Spirit of the Game. When teams play with spirit, it helps ensure everyone has as much fun as possible fun each and every night. A culture of spirit also allows the VUL to run 800 games every month without a single official. So, we'd like to thank all captains and players for promoting and encouraging Spirit of the Game.
The following teams received the highest spirit rating for their night of play in Summer 2009. Each received a $300 certificate courtesy of Gaia or VC for gear. Scores are a combination of game results and points for volunteering (see the Spirit page for more info).

Today we launch a new About Us section on the website. It includes more information about your elected Board of Directors, as well as a new Volunteer page.
